Ayurveda and Yoga
Ayurveda is an ancient Vedic medicine providing us knowledge for attaining optimal health and evolution of individual consciousness towards living the life of Yoga.
As a holistic system, it views the human body as a part of the universe and aims to balance our health naturally by bringing us to our true nature. When we become aware of our connection with nature, we learn how to respect and live our authentic selves and stay in balance.
Ayurveda balances physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of our being with natural methods of healing such as diet and lifestyle tips, herbs and yogic practices – all according to our unique physical constitution and mental nature.
Due to the sea of information in today’s modern world, sometimes it can be difficult to maintain a true connection with ourselves. We often identify with various trends (lifestyle, diets) and unknowingly put our own lives in a box that fragments and separates us from our own, unique nature.
Once we recognize and embrace that unique nature, we learn how to listen and stay connected with ourselves, moment by moment. We become able to calm our minds, emotions, and bring the body into balance in a natural way, thus coming in deeper connection touch with ourselves and everything around us.
There is a lot to say about Ayurveda, however, the most important thing is that ayurvedic principles can be applied to everyone’s life – no matter where you are coming from, or what your beliefs or habits are. Ayurveda is adaptable to everyone, and that’s the beauty of it.
